Griep Jacobs, a practitioner at the centre, said, “We are very blessed for what Kolomela mine has done for our children, making their lives comfortable and giving our children a comfortable learning environment.”
Kumba Iron Ore, a business unit of Anglo American, ensures that the company makes a meaningful difference in the communities which they operate.
Recently, Kolomela mine also donated a microwave, an urn and a 2-plate stove to Goldilocks Day Care Centre.
The center cares for more than forty children from all over the Tsantsabane community, ranging in ages from babies to toddlers up to six years old.
This donation will enable the practitioners allow them more time on assisting the babies to spend less time on making the food and toddlers to eat. This will also free them up to spend more time on educating the children. Happy children make happy parents and happy communities.
