De Wet Drainage

Description

Agricultural water management, is one of the major challenges faced by the South African farming community, due to our extreme weather conditions.

Agricultural water management becomes of high importance, in modern and intensive agriculture conditions. It’s effects are found in providing optimal conditions to the crops during growth resulting in better yields. Areas with an excess of water requires an efficient drainage system that provides an appropriate water runoff, ensuring better water management.

We focus on transforming basic land into highly efficient and very productive farming soil, striving to reach our business outputs and deliver them in a timely fashion.

De Wet Drainage offers cost effective drainage, land levelling and land forming, earth moving services and various other professional ground preparation services, guaranteeing lower production costs and increased yield.

In modern farming, soil preparation is very important to ensure saving input costs and better crop yielding possibilities. By getting a soil profile and analysing the soil, you can accurately establish what preparation is needed within your ground.

For waterlogged agricultural land we do two types of drainage:

  • Sub-surface drainageWe apply years of expert knowledge and technology to bring to you the best solution to your waterlogged area. In sandy ground,
we use the Soil-Max Digger and for clay dominant soil, we use the conventional drainage technique tailored to your requirements.
  • Surface drainageSurface Drainage involves managing the water flow and direction on your land to optimize water use to improve crop establishment and irrigation by using precision GPS levelling and sloping technology.
